This past May, Sondra Bernstein sailed around Greece aboard All-Inclusive Silversea  aboard the Silver Wind.  She’s decided that this May she’d like to explore (and take more photographs of) the South of France.  She’s selected a voyage on the Wind’s sister ship, the Silver Cloud that will delight francophiles, and offers two overnights in port to experience some of the most glitzy nightlife that the world has to offer.  The weather should be absolutely stunning in early May, and Silversea is offering incredible deals on this sailing so this is the perfect time to visit.

Sail from Barcelona, the home of Gaudi, fine chocolates, and one of the best (and oldest) marketplaces in Europe, La Boqueria, before spending 5 days exploring ports in France and the isle of Corsica.  You will overnight in Cannes and Monte Carlo, and with the film festivals later in May, the famous and almost famous should provide excellent people watching. This just announced voyage offers all-inclusive fares as low as $1,899 for past guests, and that includes a $250 shipboard credit.  This voyage is certain to sell out quickly, so contact us today to reserve your spot on this once in a lifetime opportunity.

If you are ready to make a tentative reservation please complete this form.

Port Descriptions

Barcelona, Spain
The enchanting city of Barcelona is a visual delight, and has an atmosphere that combines elegance and sophistication with provincial charm. In exploring its streets you’ll discover medieval romance in its Gothic quarter and the awe-inspiring delights of the fantastic and sometimes outrageous Art Nouveau architecture of Gaudi and his contemporaries.

Marseille, France
Marseille is France’s second largest and most ancient city. It was founded by the Greeks in 600BC and was later conquered by the Romans after becoming a thriving port and centre for trade. Today it is littered with ancient sites and artifacts; mostly Roman additions to the original Greek settlement.

St. Tropez, France
The fairly inaccessible fishing village of St Tropez, sited on a peninsula, was ‘discovered’ late in the 19th century by a bunch of reprobate writers and artists, and its reputation as a flamboyant and fashionable holiday destination quickly spread.  There is little left of the medieval Provencal atmosphere of the original town, but behind the rows of yachts fronting the terraced cafés of the waterfront are some narrow, picturesque streets full of shops. The hub of the St Tropez town is the Place aux Herbes, a busy enclave of fish, fruit, vegetable and flower stalls.

Calvi, Corsica, France
Calvi is an ancient fortress port on Corsica, closest port to France. It was the capital of Corsica for 500 years. It is divided into two sections, the Haute-Ville, which includes the ancient fortress; and Base-Ville, which includes the port district.

Cannes, France
For centuries Cannes was a simple, sleepy fishing village whose only visitors were monks and wealthy pilgrims who came to visit the monastery on the nearby Island of St Honorat.  Cannes is busy all year round, frequented by hosts of business travellers off-season and besieged by tourists on holiday in the summer, when the long sandy beaches, glitzy nightclubs, chic shops and famous promenade are abuzz with beautiful people flaunting the latest designer wear. Despite the city’s pretensions and massive over-development, Cannes is still an international city of charm and good cheer and a great holiday destination.

Monte Carlo, Monaco
Monte-Carlo, unofficial capital of glamorous and lavish Monaco, is surprisingly unattractive and is embellished more by its citizens and visitors than its own attractions. The capital is a blend of ugly high rise buildings and windy roads, but does boast the legendary Casino, luxury hotels, elegant nightclubs and restaurants, views of the sparkling Mediterranean and of course, the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.
